When I was in middle school, about 7th or 8th grade, I wanted to get some hoodies and stuff from the Asian Man Records website. My mom told me to put some things in the cart and she would order them for me. Included in that order was this Big D and The Kids Table hoodie.

When the package got to my house and I opened it up my mom got really mad that I had ordered this sweatshirt. I had told her that I wanted it before and she said I couldn’t have it because of the word “shit” on it. But I put it in the order and got it to my house anyways. My mom didn’t look over the order. She took it away and told me I wasn’t allowed to wear it. She also said when I was 18 I could wear things like that if I wanted to. I assumed that she donated it to Goodwill or something and that it was gone. I mean, she should have gotten rid of it, right?

I just turned 18 on Friday. Today my mom told me she had a late birthday present for me. She came downstairs with this hoodie in her hand. She said that I’m 18 now so I can wear it.

So now I have a sweet Big D hoodie.

Fuck yes.

I was surprised by the amount of kids singing along considering it was in Longview. Minus World is so tight. Trying to go for round 2 tonight in Olympia and definitely going for round 3 in Portland on Saturday with Caroline. Barry from the band is such a nice dude. They might crash at my place tonight. It would be cool to hang out.
